My New Coilovers...

Well kinda,
Koni Red inserts, custom rate Ground Controls, H&R helper springs or (Preloads), along with Cusco camber plates.
If anyone wants my Eibach springs let me know, I did cut a link off the top of them in the rear. DOES NOT CHANGE THE RIDE only the height
Im still undecided on if i should paint the strut body Koni Red or stick with black. any thoughts?

It should be amazing, I loved my Koni Reds and Eibach's, but i think im going to like this alot more. going to slamm this bad boy. I think im going to just stick with the black strut body as it is a little more stealthy
Anyone running the Megan performance trailing arms? I was contemplating getting them but not sure.

I don't think anyone has. I've seen ksport ones for proteges as well but idk if they will work

The Protege bars will fit, and the 323 i compared them all when doing my swap and were all the same length and size. some had undercoating and some didn’t is the only difference i found. Im actually running the Protege bars on my mx. I was thinking about making my own but idk if i want to take the time unless they are aluminum.

Nice set-up. What spring rates are you running?

I have an odd question. You said that cutting a bit off the top (I imangine the coil portion) lowered it a bit. I've got eibach springs and tokico struts and I'm unhappy with the ride height. I have a rs, but I do belive I got everything for a gs. Ill have to check the recipts. I did read around on here that the gs ones might be different to make up for the added wieght of the v6 motor. Do you think that would be why my car is lowered a bit, but I'm stuck with wheel gap yet? And weather or not I should cut a bit off of the springs?

You know from what i have always heard is that Eibach quit making GS and RS springs some time ago. the GS cars isn’t that much heavier. it only changes the ride in the front about 1/4". If you cut a link off of your springs (which i don’t recommend) it has to be a complete link because of the style perches we have, and it has to be in the section of the spring that is always compressed as to not affect the springs performance only the ride height.
It also depends on how long ago you installed them because they will settle. you could pull out the upper and lower springs seats (the rubber) that would give you 1/4" or so.
I had them on my RS for years and loved them every step of the way. If i were you is find some H&R's or get ground controls. it could be the struts as well. I had Koni inserts and they work against the spring sucking it down where most are opposite and work with the spring.
hope that helps

They've been on the car for almost three years now, so I think they should be settled in. The point though about the shocks working against the springs is interesting. Everything was brand new when I bought it. I'm not sure what other peoples thoughts are on the eibach/tokico blues set up, but maybe that might be the case. I love the way it handles and I'm aware that I would have to take a whole link off. I just want to drop the height a bit more for a better stance.

^^^^YEAH WHAT HE SAID^^^^
Blues are like the worst struts you can get. They blow seals, I would go for KYB's i think they are the best option for the MX besideds the Koni Red inserts. H&R's would drop it a little more but they do ride stiffer. try taking out the rubber perch mounts first before cutting them. Once you cut them you cant go back. Try shox.com cheepest place i have found to buy struts and springs. you have to look up zx2 escort though if i remember correctly.
I remember when Bugs did his sus setup he did the KYB's with H&R's on 16's was an amazing ride did really well.

If I were to take the spring rubber seats out, would that make it a bit clunky?

If you are rally driver and take dirt roads with pot holes all the time then yes they would clunk. but really with eibach or H&R springs they Keep tension all the time so usually its not something you would notice.
