hi all. i've searched alot but didn't get far. i am wondering if you remove the two fuel lines from the fuel rail, and turn ignition ON, should fuel spray, pour, jet or does no fuel come out either lines?

I'm sensing a faulty fuel pump.

OR i got another question, how could you tell if the FPR is faulty?

obviously i got a fuel pressure issue but can't put my fat finger on it..

suggestions anyone? help a brotha out..

Greets from Sunny Aruba..

the camshafts must be rotating for the fuel pump to kick in,

or F/P and GND must be jumped in the DIAG box with ignition ON

FPR must be tested with a pressure gauge. Depending what engine you have, you have to put it where it will see the same pressure as the lines, and then connect/disconnect it from vacuum while the car is idling, and check the gauge.

Cant you hear the fuel pump when you crank the car?

Theres a relay next to the ECU, that one should CLICK when the fuel pump is activated.

Check fuses.

NEVER NEVER unplug fuel lines and turn the IGN ON. (YES I GOT MY CAR ON FIRE ONCE)

Also check for cracked hoses at the fuel tank and the pump. The fuel pump has a little rubber hose (inside the gas tank) that tends to pop when its old.

If in doubt, remove the fuel pump; its easy. Its under the rear seat. test it outside of the car.
