Greets from greece guyz
one of the upgrades i had in my mx-3 bp+t was a 6pot wp pro brake kit
that i parted out of an other mx-3 everything was ok until one day i lost
all my brake fluids and had to go to the mechanic... one of the piston seals broke... i immediately contacted WP pro brakes and asked them for a repair kit
and a set of brake pads , we had to reply each other 4-5 times with pics that i send and measurements that they asked so they can get what type of THEIR brakes i have and after that the following reply got to my mail...

"the seal is $10 each but we are currently out of stock, the fastest we can get them is within 2 weeks, the pads are $130 per set (4x), the shipping quote we are getting to Greece is fairly outrageous, as they are quoting us $350 for something so small, your best bet may be to purchase it through our UK distributor."

and i contact the UK distributor getting the second disappointment...

"We do not sell the seals I'm afraid.

I'm afraid we do not carry a full range of pads. The pads we list are to
suit the Saab and Volvo brake kits. Is this what you have?"

So i forwarded the reply to Wp pro asking them to try and find a REASONABLE carrier and they never got back at me....

since then its been 4 weeks and i turned athens upside down to try and find the 25mm piston seals that i need to get the brakes working and my car on the road again but with no success my only chance now is motorbike brakes that might have this small (25mm) piston seals...
If anyone has any idea what i can do please say so I NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN FIND right now...

Ask them to ship the seals USPS. Shouldn't be more than say $20 max. Can't you buy the pads where you live?

they don't seem to want to sell.. i already asked them to find another carrier for the package
and got no reply since then.. its been a month or so...

i found out that there are 2 wp pro brake companies ....
all this time a talked with http://www.wpprobrakes.com/ but a few minutes ago found out that there's another site http://www.winnerpower.com.tw/index.html
they look the same but the first one did not mention the second one.. i just send them an e-mail and i hope i find a solution !!!

i am begging to understand now that they are not the main company but just a reseller wich claims to be the manufacturer of these brakes and i think the shipping cost could be cause of the TAIWAN-USA-GREECE travel that the package will do...

Have you disassembled the brakes? Do you have the seal aparta nd can you get the dimensions? If so you should be able to find the seal from a manufacturer like SKF or CR (which bleongs to SKF now I think). They make millions of seals. I'm sure you could find something that would work.

Get the dimensions and show me the profile and I might be able to help you.

Also, on the brake pads: There are companies that will make pads or will likely have pads for your application. I sing the praises of Porterfield Brakes www.porterfield-brakes.com every time I get. I use their in-house R4 pad and am REALLY happy with how well they work on our stock brake set-up (for track racing). However, I hear the R4S work very well for a street application too. Contact them, and they will ask for the brake pad backing dimensions. Then they can either find a pad that fits or make a pad.
I should get a job there. I love their stuff.
