Anyone else into Smartphones?

So I've been working with T-Mobile for over a year now, and I'm now a cell phone junkie. Love playing with the latest.

Now I am loving hacking/rooting any phone I get in contact with. It's so fun! I've only had the opportunity to play with Android and Blackberry.

Anyone else in the cell phone scene?

no, but I need one...

I'm looking for an IPhone 3gs, unlocked, or locked to Rogers... I ruined my phone, its now a $50/month flashlight.

^^ whats wrong with it? if you can fix a car, you can fix a phone most times..

i use the touch pro2 and the lg expo (pico projector FTW!) with custom ROMs on them. i'd love to see the guts (snapdragon proc) of the expo inside the TP2's form factor. i'm a big HTC touchflo fan and winmo is very handing for tethering free of charge, while also playing very well with MS apps of course.

Rogers is a GSM provider. I don't remember, but do they use the AWS band (Tmo 2100), or are they inline with ATT's 3g?

I could find you a phone locally if you wanted, unlock it for you, then send it up. They're selling the Galaxy S / Vibrant around here for like 200-250 sometimes.

I've done a:
Blackberry 9700 w/OS6
Galaxy S W/ext4 partition, 2.2
G1 / Dream w/2.2, OC to 614mhz
Mytouch / Magic (Ver 1 and 1.2 and Fender) 2.2, OC 578
Mytouch Slide / Espresso 2.2

I'm pretty set on an IPhone.

my phone is a slider phone, and the ribbon cable is screwed, so the speaker doesn't work, but the mic does.

the screen is cracked to the point that I can't read anything on it at all, like the LCD is broken.

Its FUBAR.

If you want to keep check regularly, I can always buy a iphone for you, unlock it and ship it to you. It's a thought.

Been using a Samsung Captivate since August, love it. Check out my apps:

I don't think I'll ever get a non-Android phone again, unless Nokia and Microsoft pick up the pace with their new agreement. I came from a Blackjack II so this was a big step up.

I have an HTC Incredible, and it certainly is! I know 0 about it, but the navigation is just as good as my Tom Tom, so I'm going to sell it.
I'd love to learn how to root it, and such, and maybe run MegaSquirt with it

My LG Banter slider phone (new from July) is broken. The cheap rear cover decided to slide out as I was putting into my pocket, hit the ground, battery fell out, and witout a miss or another bounce, landed inthe sump pump. Thought it survived, but the mic is gone. Back to my old LG Chocolate Flip. 4 Years and still going, but no speaker phone (disabled with Telus), and the bluetooth is gone.

I'd love a smart phone, but my cell bill is already $100/month and I don't have data on there yet....
