Chipped ECU will probably work better for you. IMO

Contact Ryan (Probinator) on Probetalk or Cardomain. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/728690/1989-ford-probe Its the only chip to buy. The 92 ECU can't be chipped, best bet is the 93. Regardless of the chip number the top circuit board needs to be shorter than the chip board or the ECU can't be chipped.

The circuit board that dosen't have the chip is the one that needs to be about 25% shorter. Just look in your ECU and if one board is shorter than the other your probably good to go. 94's are a little different PM solo rider, he should be able to set you straight.
