it might have already been posted but i looked lol is there any benefits for throwing a cheap 7 or 8 psi turbo on the k8 so i can get better gas mileage or maybe longer life of the k8 and plus i love the sound of blow off valves (im not looking for power its the wifes car)

buy a civic...

It's not a diesel...

When you put in MORE AIR (from a turbo), you need to add the same radio of fuel, thus pump in MORE FUEL.

Not sure about you, but typically, when you have to dump more fuel into a motor, your not using less.

There are a ton of BP-Ts running 25-35mpg. Its all about the tune.

Dont know about V6s though.. =]
Took the bp+t out of the mx and swapped it into a 95 escort wagon. ;)

get ms if you wanna save on fuel and on $$$

No no, that's not the point. We're not saying you can't get good milleage with a turbo'd motor. Basically he wants to ADD a turbo to get BETTER milleage than he's already getting...

he could technically get better power to fuel ratio with a turbo... but not absolute milage.

Actully got 2mpg improvement when I boosted my bp BUT you have to run premium fuel so it didn't save anything

thanks alot for the helpful and smart a$$ comments lol but yeah i just thought i would add it and get better mileage and the sound of the sexy bov and maybe dust of some people at stop lights here and there but i guess not i guess ill go ze

in what world do you think a 2.5l engine that is essentially the same as a 1.8l (give or take) only bigger use less fuel. i think you have the whole engineering idea backwards. you want better mileage? swap in a 1.6l i4 from the 92 rs, or buy a civic...
