Heya. Got a 92 GS with an ebrake problem. Only the right side cable works, the left side doesn't move at all when pulling on the lever. I figure it's broken near the bracket, above the resonator. Before I go taking my exhaust out, I want to grab a junkyard cable just incase it is broken.

Since the wrecker is an hour and a half away, what are the tools I'd need? I'm going to be bringin my socket set, some pliers, vice grips and wrenches, but anything special? Thanks.

Various pliers, as its rusted to hell.

10mm sockets/wrenches.

IMO your wasting your time with a used cable, it's probably in the same shape as the one you have. Pretty cheap here and usually 2-3 day delivery. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carco ... ttype,1696

Used cable was $5 and still works. I take that as a win!

A 10 mm socket, 12, and I think 14mm were needed. Then a screw driver to bend some metal (yay for junkyards) and pliers to pry with. Came right out!
