MX3 Wheel Question

Good afternoon,

Im new to this forum so hello! Loving the MX-3s

This is my big question and i'm certain i'm at the right place for it! I was at a scrapyard about a year ago and saw a white MX3 with 15x7 fake split rim 5 spoke alloys.
I was offered £100 to buy them but at that time, i couldn't afford it :( so i declined.

Now, i've been searching on and off for the last few weeks only until tonight, i've had a good search and the outcome i get is the Enkei 15" wheel almost everytime which is very annoying!

Does anyone know the name, product code or anything that can help me along with my search.....or if anyone has any for sale here in the UK??

Your help will be greatly appreciated....and i can finally finish off my University work :?

Simo

A picture would help.

If you mean these:

Yeah, enkei makes it. Same with all the MX rims. 100% aluminum.

Cheers for the reply Ryan, thats the one that keeps coming up and its not the one.

Thats the problem, i can't get any pictures, only this one, it kind of resembles it but i can't see the (fake) split rim bolts

The stock colour was silver i believe.

Hope this helps

What is a "fake" split rim? Lol.

Do you mean this rim:

Other then that I dont think there were any other OEM rims made for the MX3 over there.

FYI the stock rim is 15x6

This might be a better picture

A fake split rim is an alloy rim that looks as if it is made from 2 halfs (the face and rim) but it isn't. These are real split rims for example Image

The rims you are looking for are exclusive to the UK MX-3 Equipe special edition...

DJmarcopolo might be able to give you more info or maybe just post up on the http://www.uk-mx3.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; forums

Here's his worklog with more pics: http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=74306" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Ahh now it makes sense. You are looking for what is called a 2 or 3 piece wheel. Wheels that are not monoblock (aka one piece). But two or 3 different parts bolted or welded together.

Oddly enough, I'd always thought them to be split rim too :/
