Hey guys, so i just put in an HID kit, and i had to disconnect the cruise
controle, but ya anyways, today my car started to make noise, like there's little
shards of metal moving around in the engine bay ( mainly near the water pump )
and it's get a bit louder. I notice at the same time that there no coolant in my radiator
coolant tank. So i asked to take my dad's car to go to get coolant, yet he had some
and put some in the tank and in the where the radiator cap is. I got home and the radiator
was smoking, now i don't know why that metal tingling sound is there nor why it's smoking

think it might be my radiator falling apart

any ideas guys?

Do you see any coolant leaking out? Any idea where it's going?

First you need to find out where your coolant is leaking from. Sounds like you need to replace your water pump. Replace timing belt at the same time while you're working on water pump. Do not drive your car without coolant unless you want to replace head gasket.

The timing belt, water pump and belts have been changed in august
when i got the engine swapped to a KF-ZE, i'm gonna run it for 10 mins
tonight and then leave it till tomorrow

about the coolant, I don't know if they only put a bit when they swapped
the engine and kept the rest for themselve, cuz i was having a problem
with the engine before and they didn't know what was wrong but i found
it was the disty, so i question if they are professional or not

Added note, it's snowing/ raining out and it's dark out... s--- weather for
solving mechanical problems or finding a leak

Ok, so it was just the overflow that made it smoke and also because
it was cold out. I'll monitor the coolant level in the followimg weeks.

Now for the metal tingling noise, the belts have been changed, timing belt
was changed, and water pump was changed when the engine swap was done,
so i was told. The noise is coming the front the left side of the engine where the
belts are, but further to the back of the engine. I think the timming belt could be
rubbing, or there's debris behind the timing belt cover.

What do you guess think?
