Missing Link???

Post by BoostAllDay »

So I'm not sure if my 1.6 DOHC has a map sensor since its OBD1 but if it does have a map sensor then where is it located on my 1994 mx3?? I'm boosting my car so I need to know if I need to run a missing link or not. Please help me out guys.

Thankyou so much for any help!!!

To be perfectly honest I don't believe the 1.6's had a MAP sensor. I did some looking around and all I can find is after market parts and what have you but no information about a stock one. So my best guess is that there is none, but I could be mistaken.

It does not have a map, it has a maf... and a missing link may be the wrong way to go. There are lots of different ways to boost the b6.

Here is my build to give you some ideas.

Thanks a lot for the help guys. I've looked at your build many times for different fittings that I needed and I also am using the same header kit from jgs as you did. What did you do about the egr tube going into the stock exhaust manifold??

the egr is just capped for now. It's not really causing an issue even on the OBD2. I've pulled the egr code maybe twice since I've been boosted. I keep my code reader in the car and just clear it. Problem solved. Will make a block off plate in the future.

Okay cool because I don't see a need for it to be hooked back up
