Hey Guys,
I wanted to know if its a bad idea to lower only the front end of my 96 gs. the equipment are as follows:
- Suspension Techniques springs with a 3" drop
- fairly new Monroe Struts
Any guesses would be much appreciated

Yes, it is a bad idea.
First, because that would displace part of the car's weight to the front, in a car that's already nose heavy.
Second, because that would modify your suspension geometry (initially your caster, and your anti-squat), and your handling will suffer.
Third, because that'll modify (read "screw") the car's aerodynamics, creating, among other undesirables, a lot of turbulence under the car, which will also ruin your handling, especially at high speed.
And fourth, because it'd look like cr@p.
I'm sure there are other reasons that now escape me...
Hope that helps.

Although, they do make kits that lower more in the front than the rear. That would be a good option for you.
