I was recently informed by another user that there is a lifetime warranty on the springs and automatic seatbelts. I'll send you the links for the info if you still need the springs.

Why would there be a lifetime warranty on a part that usually needs to be replaced.
No such thing on springs.

It's actually a recall on the front springs. And yes it exists. Quite a few members have taken advantage of it.

So if i bring my shattered coil springs to a mazda dealer they will recall them for me? some sort of extended special policy?

I believe the front springs only have a 1 time recall, so if its been done before on the car, it cannot be done again, where as the seat belts are a lifetime recall since it's a design flaw.

I'd call mazda to check, otherwise I've got a set of stock springs laying around I can sell to ya.

Yes it exists. the recall number is kicking around on here.

You can tell if its been done or not by the bolted on extra brackets.

I think it's canada only?? Plus it doesn't say they'd replace the springs. they'd only put on brackets to make sure a broken spring didn't puncture the tire.

Well everyone who's taken advantage of the recall has had their springs replaced. Ryan for one...

They will replace broken springs, obviously. What kind of retarded recall would leave the broken part? what if toyota only installed a big spring on their flucked pedals?

They replace the springs, put on the safety bracket, and will not replace your tire(s)

wow.. i'd hate to see the condition of your car if rust is going to destroy your springs.

Did you read it?

It sits in the spring base. You can't exactly wash in there.
