Goin back in MX-3 time

For a while now, I've had an urge to go back in time with my MX-3. Back in time to 1993. When my MX-3 was sitting on the showroom floor (being modest) and the dealer just gave me the keys and a pat on my back ready to drive away in a timeless eye-turner we call the MX-3. What would it be like?? I don't know since I bought mine as a second owner in 2002... but heres the closest I can imagine to feeling that way:

Wait until a nice summer day, wash my car get it lookin real nice, then go for a cruse. But wait, dont turn that radio on! Theres mondern day music on there! But you gotta listen to tunes especially if you are goin back in time to 93 when your car was first hittin the streets. So whats a guy to do? well, hit it with some old school beats of course! Burn (of if you are real ol school, make a tape) a CD of all the hits from 93 (Billboard top 100 http://longboredsurfer.com/charts/1993.php) and hit the gas!

No seriously though, I'll do it when the weather gets warmer... maybe put on a windbreaker and some sweet shades and just made it a day to cruise and listen to sweet ol school tunes. Some good hits on that Billboard list! Dr. Dre Aint nuthin but a G thang and Dre Day, Spin Doctors, Naughty by Nature, 2Pac, Cypress Hill, Ice Cube, Green Jelly, Onyx, MJ! whats better than that? Oh theres a few songs you better skip over on that list, but cmon close your eyes (better make it quick if your on the road) and you may just think you're in 93*!

*or 92, 94 or 95 depending on whatever year u have

anyone else do this yet? I mean really do it: all music circa their year MX-3... could be an awesome experience!

:) In '93, I was helping a friend get a Rave company started. We put on parties in the desert that were up to 30,000 people (When we had Paul Oakenfold). One of our parties was on "RealTV". Now I'm going to try to remember what else I was doing at the time...
I went to "Spin Doctors" shows for cheap before they were famous, and wasn't impressed.
I was riding a bicycle rikshaw, making about $200/ day or night, about 3 times a week, and raced mountain bikes, not sponsered yet. It was a tough time musically for me, watching Punk die with the '80s. I loved the '80s, so the '90s weren't very impressive to me in general, but I'm glad they built the MX-3!

90's started out crappy for me. I went to the Gulf War and my son was only a month old. I still have a dinar note with Saddam Insanes picture on it. When you watch that movie Jar Head and they come to that spot where all the vehicles are blown up and burnt bodies are every where. I was there, that spot is just out side of Kuwait city. I bought a brand new 92 sr5 Toyota 4runner. What a waste O money that was. 91-94 I was Windsurfing on the west coast of Vancouver Island, that was a great time.

KICK a-- TRACK

I guess we'll all have to start wearing Vuarnet windbreakers, haha. The tie-died pattern ones, or the Vuarnet t-shirts that changed colour to your body temperature.

lol far from it, the avatar is more a reflection of my older views on morality and stuff, sometimes I feel like an old fart because of how I see things lol. I have worked around of a lot of old school guys and in some ways I am more like them than my mid 30s brethern. I am a dad of a nearly 2 yr old boy and it taxes on the body pretty hard even though I love being a dad. Now if I could just resurret the mullet I had lol jk. Yeah it was a good time all around I miss some of it but I would not trade my current life for it.
