There's a search function at the top of the page. search.php
The topic has been covered.
Also the forum for 4cyl engines has nothing to do with your seatbelt.

There's a recall on the seatbelts. It may or may not cover your car. You'll have to check the VIN

sorry for you luck.. but you really have to learn how to use the search function.

the auto belts were a recall, take it to the local mazda dealer.

And search next time.

edit.. just a little too late on this one.

I'd also like to point in (just some constructive criticism.. please don't take offense) that your description of the problem was kinda... vague.

All I could make out is that the seat belts do not work. I am assuming both are dead.

But yeah.. as everyone said.. there is a recall on them if your lucky..

but it could be a fuse blown.. or it could be dead motors.

The passive seat belt system most likely has a life time warranty on it, mine did I have a '92. If it has to do with the track or motor it will cost you nothing. Check with your local dealer. There is also an access hole for the motor to wind to the retracted position, it's along side the rear seat cushion. You have to remove the rear seat cushion for access.
