so when i pull up to a light and put it in gear the car idles from about 1500 to 700 rpm...but if i put it in netural it just seems to idle higher than normal but doesnt idle up and down.its really annoying having to keep putting in netural please help!!!

Mine did the same thing until I replaced the accordian part of the intake tube.

mine did that on my old motor. if i lowered the idle a bit it went back to normal. check for vacuum leaks thow... there the most common cause of jumping idle.

ensure the TPS is adjusted correctly and you may need to adjust the IAC... if nothing else you can turn your rear defrost on and it should even it out...

try cleaning your iac and check for vacuum leaks. and clean your tb while your at it. those are usually the main three things i find that find cause that problem when a car comes in at work wit hthe same idle up n down problem. kinda gets repetative after a while :P
