Reverse lights on all the time after Kia trans swap

Just seeing if any of you guys have had a similar problem. I just finished swapping out my protege trans for a 97 Kia trans. I used the reverse light switch from my Protege and noticed that the reverse lights stay on all the time. I have the reverse light switch that came with the Kia gearbox and I could easily put it back in, then cut and reconnect it to the protege's connector end. The connection ends are different. I'm guessing the two reverse switches are different.. Any one else notice this?

Just re-wired it. Problem solved.
