tach signal wire

I was wondering on the k8 distributor what wire gives you that tach signal???

I believe it is the centre pin on the 3 wire plug. Depends on the year of car, though, I believe.

on a 93 it is the center one on the 3 pin

Thanks a lot for the info I was looking for it to see if that would give me the tach signal that my ms is asking for. Found out that is not the reason but thank you for the help.
