New to Madza's and the forums.I used to drive hondas and have now decided to go a different route. No one in my area has an MX3 and i just recently found a GS with 146k on it and it pulls real hard and drives good.I plan on boosting it after a KLZE Swap but im curious to know more about the engine and how much power it can male before a swap happens.
Thanks and the forums is awesome.

Hello & welcome..... The search option above makes a great resource for your unanswered questions.
This forum has helped me with two of my MX-3's in just one month. I have almost fully completed my
GS and have started on the GS-SE today. So look around and don't be shy.

Haha, you're still a Honda boy at heart.
Us Mazda people do it a bit different.... the analogy that made me see the light was "perfume on a pig"
Make sure your car is in good operating condition, tuned up, and ready to go before you drop any cash on things that don't help at all, like audio. Once she's prime, then spend some cash and time on some bump in the hatch.
You look like a tool when your car breaks down, and you have $2000 of audio equipment in the back.
Also, make sure you get a REAL CAI, not a typical Honda WAI.
Its also worth noting that a CAI on these cars isn't as effective as other vehicles because of the complicated VRIS/VICS systems, designed to work with the fancy expansion/resonance chambers you remove when putting on a CAI. The intake is a product of complicated fluid dynamics and engineering, not just a simple tube for air.
