k so....
just like everyone else, im havin a cooling problem with my car.
i can start the car, have it idle for 30+ mins, doesnt overheat, but doesnt blow warm air.
as soon as i start driving, it blows warm air, but the temp guage goes right down to 1/8 above the "C" on the gauge.
anyone know what my problem would/could be?
i do believe it is my thermostat. but im just trying to get a 2nd opinion.
thanks for the help

possible air pocket in system. Have you flushed system before? New thermostat might fix problem, they're not too expensive.

i havnt fully flushed the system, but i changed out the coolant and now the temp guage wont go above 1/4 mark. even at idle and going 150kmph down the highway in -35 degree weather.
i made sure there were no air pockets...
i got a new thermostat waiting to be put in, but i cant find a walkthru on how to do it. (still learning about cars)

All newbs should have to read it and answer a test before they are allowed to post.

Re: Common Cooling Problem, But with a twist...
If you're sure there's no air, then you can see if you're thermostat is working by placing your hand on the upper radiator hose. If your thermostat is open, that hose will be hotter than...well you get the picture.
But I do have to say that sounds like an air problem. The heater blowing cold then warn is a tell tale sign...
I suppose it could be both? Couldn't hurt to replace the temp sensor as well. They're pretty cheap, and then you'll know you're getting the correct reading on the gauge...
