MX3 got a nifty article
A local online magazine that covers the South Florida race scene has been bugging me for awhile to do a photoshoot for the car. We did it about 6 weeks ago but I've been holding out for an 11 second pass before we posted the article/pics.
The site is http://www.bizspeed.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The article should be first on the list of articles and the photos are linked from the article and can also be found in the photo section under "featured cars." When you view the pics make sure to rate them 5 stars so they show up more often on the site.
It's not quite the life and times of Goldmember, but it's about as much as you can fit in 3 paragraphs.
All this combined with the possible TV Spot on Fox Sports and making the finals at NSCRA are part of a larger goal to one day make it into a print magazine.
This is one of my current favs from the shoot

Nice one. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before goldmembers in a print magazine. Pics rated 5, even though I think I'd take better ones

Re: MX3 got a nifty article
hppwdn so you are running 245/45 R17... do you use wheel spacers? any rubbing anywhere? Cause I need to get some new tires, and right now its 205/40 R17 and they look kinda small lol, so I was contemplating on getting 215/45 ..... but now see you with 245s.

Re: MX3 got a nifty article
no he doesn't have spacers, but he does indeed have d2 coilovers...aka real coilovers without that big spring perch that most cut off so that would give him some more space for tire.
Good article Andy. I also heard about your car being on TV.

Re: MX3 got a nifty article
Yes, I run 245/45/17s on a 17x7.5" ET40 rim with no spacers and it sits just about perfectly flush with the fender. I only have 245s because I need that much rubber to hold traction. It's a game of precision to make the tires fit, especially in the rear. For most people I would stick with a 225 tire as you'll still get a decently wide tire without all the extra work I had to go thru.Ukrman wrote:hppwdn so you are running 245/45 R17... do you use wheel spacers? any rubbing anywhere? Thanks for the compliment. I'll get it up on youtube eventually. It was my slowest run of the day (12.6 @ 118) because I kinda half a-- missed a gear. Luckily the other guy broke so it didn't matter.mx3autozam wrote:Good article Andy. I also heard about your car being on TV.

Re: MX3 got a nifty article
You can get 225 or even 215 45 but you have to take into consideration that compared to the stock profile those tires are gonna be talled. 215 40 17 is the pefect size IMO for a 7" rim for a regular DD car. Andy obviously has traction issues so he needs abit more rubberUkrman wrote:hppwdn so you are running 245/45 R17... do you use wheel spacers? any rubbing anywhere?
