My mate got an mx3 1.8v6 and its stunning. when he brought it, it was working fine form months, it had an act clutch in from the previous owner. he took it to the garage and had standard clutch put in as the act one was too harsh. so after about a week. he stopped the car and then it hasnt started well. Every single time its cold its starts fine, then once upto temp if you turn the car off it will not restart?? the temp gauge reads very hot but thats beause the send has broke so i dont think its to do with that.

i thought id ask you guys as this is the best place for advise.

help please as if the problem isnt sorted the owner is going to scrap the car :?

Just jokes, but replace the disty.

Get pulling codes! http://uk-mx3.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1463
Helps alot :)

I would have guess heat soak on the disty coil from the first post too.

Blue are 2.5 injectors surely?! 1.8 should be red/pink for k8 IIRC. I'd also temporarily remove the FSE and return to stock FPR for now if you can.

What are you talking about? I just gave you the answer to 95% of the "Not starting when engine warm" problems.

If you wanted someone to agree with your own theory, then why target people who have experience?
