Have you considered leaving it tan? Someone else has a tan dash and wants to leave it 50/50... I think it may look pretty sweet actually.

your local auto body supply store should have vinyl paint that's made especially for vinyl/plastic parts

I painted my tan dash black... I'm not sure if I used "vinyl" paint but I have had no issues for 3 years.

There is a product that upholstery shops use specifically for this purpose. Itis typically applied with an air brush, but I'm sure you can find an alternate method.

An upholstery shop would probably color your dash inexpensively if you brought it to them already removed. Probably do a better job than you could as well.
