So, the person who I bought the car off of, had installed their own stereo system, etc. In the process, they unhooked and hid the wires somewhere for the cigarette lighter.

Does anyone have a good idea how to re-wire it up?

the wiring to the lighter socket is extremely simple. if you remove the center console/armrest then remove the ashtray and socket bezzel you can access the wiring. there is a small connector behind there for the lighting and power.

I don't smoke, and yes it's for the GPS.

I took the bezel off, saw the plug on the back of the lighter, but the wiring that is supposed to be leading to it is no where to be found.

it should be on the left side of the metal frame that the radio is mounted to, maybe it got jammed back in there or spliced into for the cd player??? i have learned that nothing surprises me anymore.
if i get a chance i will post some picts. of what my harness looks like for you.

Look at your wires. The same circuit for the radio feeds the lighter. You should see a blue/black wire, going from the fuse panel (fuse "E") to the radio. You should connect your lighter socket to that wire.
