Paint day is Friday!!

Post by Dark_Rider2k3 »

I think you all remember a while back (May of 2008) I had a big accident that messed up my hood, front/rear bumper, and rad. support, and passenger fender. My car looked terrible, and even after replacing the hood, both bumpers, and bending the support down, it's still sad looking.

Well, I am finally able to get it all painted and worked out!! Here is all he is going to do:

1. Smooth out and re-paint hood and both bumpers that I got from the j/y.
2. Fix all of the small dents around the car (any dents he sees he will repair)
3. Repaint the passenger fender, and fix it up (dent in it that he will fix).
4. Clean up underneath the gas tank where there is rust forming.
5. Fix up any other spots he thinks needs it.
6. Repair the hatch where they "broke into" my car (dent around where the key goes)

So pretty much he is going to completely go over my car and fix up every spot he sees. I am paying about 2,000 to do it, and it's going to be the same color as it is now (that blue-ish color.. can't think of it's name right now haha).

I'll post some pics up in a few hours of how the car looks like, showing off all the bad spots. But yeah, I'm kinda excited to see my car lookin good again!

Oh yeah especially when I get the pics up tomorrow of it. It looks terrible right now.

And the place I'm taking it to is well known here in Pittsburgh. They do a lot of car competitions and really do an amazing job on the cars they get. They really do give them something special!

haha I didn't notice the reflection until you said something. It does

Unfortunately it's now a shirt only used for when I'm working as it had an unfortunate end with some bleach. I still don't know who was the culprit to put bleach in with some of my blacks but.. I shall find out haha.

annd yeah.. I totally did not wake up and wish it was Friday, and don't look at my car every so often to think "damn it's not time yet!!!"

Are you going to install mudguards and a lip?

I don't know about a lip. Being here in Pittsburgh the roads are not that nice. and I'd be afraid of breaking them. As for the Mudgards, It's still up in the air.

Speaking of I guess I can get your opinions.

I have in my garage the FX Designs Combat side skirts:

I got these for about 20 bucks off a kid who messed up his MX3 (one of those "I can't pass this up!" things).

So.. do I install these (and forget about the mud guards), or do I not install them and Install the mud guards?

Never put lonely sideskirts on an mx-3, IMHO. I'd leave those for a later date.

Yeah that's what I thought. I just don't know what to go with it, as I don't like the combat front bumper. I do like the MS front bumper, but I haven't seen an MX with these skirts and that bumper, and don't know if it will look good.
