I think V6powered is asking normal GS lip or aggressive lip. I believe you, Daninski, are referring to the Standard GS lip, correct?

Correct a mondo. It would be nice to get a group buy for something like the JDM lip. It's a little nicer I think.

not to be a negative nancy, but as a body kit owner, i feel obliged to warn you guys in advance that if you go with this, it will most likely be made of fiberglass, which is going to be especially horrible for a lip. your lip takes the most abuse from curbs, parking blocks, salt, rocks, etc... which is why so many people are looking for a new one. with fiberglass, those problems are going to be compounded 10x. small rocks or salt that normally scuff or bounce off polyurethane will now be chips marks.. any hard impact = cracked lip.

go with polyurethane if possible..

if its a gs lip i think it'll be safe in fiberglass, specially with the newer flex material. But I sill say that its still fiberglass and not as safe as say eurothane. Your probably going to want it in CF then your talking 300-500 for a good cf lip...

The crappy thing is that this will probably go no farther than this... How many different threads have been created for reproducing body parts? Even though there have been a lot of great ideas thrown out there. There is still enough gs lips out there that this would be a low priority for somebody to produce. Oscar is a very busy guy and I really don't see this happening. It's unfortunate but sadly I see that as the reality.

You can get anything done through Oscar, but the problem will be organizing a BB to split the manufacturing cost and the mold, otherwise people won't get them.

I talked to him about getting CF fenders done when I picked up my CF hatch from him. Cost for a one-off set would of been about C$1500, which I would of done if I'd of kept her. After that, if anyone would wanted a set of CF/FG fenders, they would of have to went through me since I would actually own the mold at that point, and I would charge to recoup the cost.

If someone wants and had the cash, they could get a one-off set done, than if anyone else wants it, you charge the cost of having them made, plus a few extra bucks to reimburse for fronting for the mold. It's more expensive that way for everyone, but that way it does indeed get done, and they can me made individually with not having to gather funds and organize a BB.

Nd4SpdSe Thanks for the info. Food for thought. I know someone with a JDM front lip that was suppose to be for sale that could get copied but he's difficult to get a hold of.
