Post by Mx3Kid16 »

So I was loosening up my strut mount and yanked my right axle out on accident, fluid leaked out and i shoved the axle back into place, it stopped leaking. So i finished my project thinking "Okay it was just transmission fluid" well i took out my speedo cable check my fluid and to my suprise it is still full? My engine oil is still full, my brake fluid is still full... My gas is still full

SO WTF IN ATCH EEE DOUBLE HOCKY STICKS HAPPENED!? what did i leak? pm or just respond either or... help me out please!

How much fluid came out? It could be that it was a little over full to begin with....

Yeah, Im going with that. Because i just got my tranny rebuilt at the begining of the year. so there is a chance it was over filled. but i checked all my other fluids and there all perfect and it was about the same color as the tranny fluid. i just put a little more in and put everything back together. And am about to take it for a drive. :]

AFAIK people would LOVE it if axles came out that easy. Something msut be wrong. I have to use a 3' prybar usually.

Well the bolts on my strut mount were pretty much rusted shut so i had about a 3 foot pry bar on my box wrench and than it pulled out. went right back in though

Out of the midshaft bearing or what? Mine didn't leak... maybe one of your CV boots has a hole in it?
