It's not a helical LSD like quaife/mFactory.

It sits like this in your stock open diff:

I think it works a bit like this: the metal plates are sprung against the gears means the axles cannot spin at different rates, until the difference is too much (like full lock?) then the gears will slip against the plates and it behaves like an open diff. IIRC there's mixed reviews on them, I've no experience though. Search for "phantom grip" as it's essentially the same design.

i might give it a try some later date, and if it blowns my tranny, i'll just pick one up from the junkers =P

Save the money for the mfactory, will be around 600-700 (at least thats what i think)

good LSD for our cars is over 1K. You will destroy your trans running that "cheater" lsd they sell on ebay.

Not anymore... the new MFactory LSD (around $700 I believe) is up to par with the Quaife (around $1500 I believe).

I agree though, don't waste you money on the phantom grip or other cheap LSD alternatives...
