Ok my brakes started squeling, and i know that means its time to put new pads on...well today i lost most of my braking so i went and got pads and started to put them on and i found out that the idiot i got my car from didnt put both pads on my rears. they put 1 pad per wheel.

They put the outer (closest to wheel) pads in the caliper and had the piston hitting the rotor. Well my rotor on one side was ok and the other was awefully chewed up.

i put the new pads on and i still have no pressure in my pedal the pedal almost hits the floor b4 the fronts kick in. The fluid is filled and i even bled the rears. how long should it take to bleed them? it seems like they wont build up much pressure. they do get a little pressure but not much.

While bleeding the rears should the ebrake be pulled up or down? Or does this not matter?

also it seems my ebrake doesnt build pressure either....it will slow the car down but barely and it will keep the car from rolling a lil.

what do i need to do?

mmmm sounds to me like you just wore out your brakes so badly that the inside pads actually fell out of place. not putting the inside brake pads on is not something you just forget, and if you do your going to know the second that thing moves. so the idiot here is not the previous owner.

now on to your problem. if your caliper piston was touching the rotor, i dont care what anyone says you need two new calipers, brake pads and rotors. no way can the piston make contact with the rotor and then go on to be used again

it must have been squeeling for a VERY long time, i would hate to hear what other sounds your car makes :|

replacing the calipers pads and rotors is a cake walk.

ok so recap
replace the rear pads, rotors and calipers, bleed the system out with the hand brake down. if your still having a low pedal feel then bleed the fronts out as well and make sure you keep going till you dont see anymore bubbles. this should also fix your hand brake problem, if not then you can adjust the hand brake under the center console, your e brake cable might not have ever been adjusted and is gettin pretty stretched.

Projectzemx3 is right. You need new rotors, calipers and pads. Now, the bad news is the calipers are expensive.
The good news is these are one of the easiest to replace rear brakes ever, mostly because, unlike other cars with rear disks, they don't have separate shoes for the parking brake. Just take your time, and do it right.

About the parking brake, the lever should be all the way down while you work on your rear brakes.
Also, this can be a good time to replace the brake hoses, and to clean your brake fluid. To do this, just keep pumping new brake fluid through your system until all of it it's clear. Just remember to bleed in sequence: 1st, rear passenger; 2nd, rear driver; 3rd, front passenger; 4th, front driver.

A trick I found very useful to bleed my brakes is to take a soda bottle and a length of silicone hose (I used silicone because that's what I had). I put the hose through a hole in the bottle cap, and connected the other end to the bleeding screw. then, made a little hole in the bottle bottom. held it upside down, opened the bleeding screw just a little bit, and started pumping, until my brake fluid in the bottle was clear and completely bubble free.
Just make sure you have plenty of brake fluid, and don't put the brake fluid from the soda bottle back in the system.
