will a 225/50/16 fit without problems? or can someone suggest another 16in tire size?

That is to tall of a profile. 215 45 16 is a good size imho.

205 50 is the right diameter for 16s so since you are goin wider then u should lower the sidewall size. 225 45 will also work, but uncommon size. Try 205 50 or 215 45.

205 45 is abit to small imo

Actually 225/45/16 Are really close to stock hight. I used that size when I had 16"rims. With the proper offset you should have no problems
