Hi Everybody!! Am from the united kingdom, have just installed a KLZE straight neck with KL36 ecu & JE50 vaf.

Got a problem. The bloody limiter kicks in at 122mph. :(

I have followed instructions from looking on here and I cut the wire on the 22 pin block, top row 5th from left. it was black and white as it is a 1992 model.

I think limiter has now been removed, I could not tell properly as its also stopped my speedo working!! Is this common for this to happen? I have heard no mention of when you disable limiter it also disables speedp??

I hope someone can help

Regards

Interesting...wondering if you cut the wire coming from the speed sensor to the cluster rather than the one that goes from the cluster to the ECU...

1M is the one you want to cut.

Indeed. I double checked on probetalk and they confirm to cut 1M that what I thought was right: The speed sensor in the trans goes directly to the cluster, than from the cluster it goes to the ECU, so cutting it at the ECU should have absolutely no affect on the speed reading in the cluster.

I connected the wire back up today and the speedo still does not work :( Any ideas? could it be the impellor that connects to gearbox? Have my doubts as speedo was fine until I cut wire, but seeing as I have reconnected wire and speedo still does not work its now doing my head in.
