Ryan is soon getting wheels and rubber

I need tires pretty bad. I've got baldies right now, and I may as well get some pretty summer rims while I'm at it.

My car is black.

My budget is hopefully < $1000 CAD.

I'm getting Rekognize's suspension set up:

I will be most likley using this place:

http://www.kaltire.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They carry:

-Core Racing
-Klasse Motor
-Street Gear

I'm thinking 16's or 15's.

Any suggestions?

Here's a few I like so far:

Core Racing:

-Evo 7 (maybe a bit too open)
Image
-Super-Lite (too boring)
Image

Street Gear:

-Black Widow (too many spokes, imagine cleaning that)

The other place in town is Fountain Tire:

Motegi FF7

I'll go ask them for a catalogue.

And I'm hearing 215/45/16 ish.

Get rims that were designed for the Miata: 4x100, ±35 offset, OE spec centre bore..

16x7 or 16x8 w/ +35-38 4x100

Try to go light, but you won't find light for cheap. I suggest going silver or nickel, only certain black rims look nice, I prefer black w/ a polished lip if you are going that way.

Beware of 16x7 non light rims, they will be significantly heavier than the 5 spoke GS rims.

The more I look at the bottom one, the more I'm reminded of Transformers. Haha.

I guess you skipped over the price range thing eh?

Plus shipping... $1600

I'm shooting for < 15lbs. Thats all, really. I can't imagine any rim would break during normal cornering, that would just be pathetic. So unless I slam a curb, I should be okay in the strength department.

Please do not go chrome
IMO chrome does not look good on imports
Black, Gun Metal, Silver and even bronze
any of those with a polished lip would look amazing on the mx3

Oh come on now, I heard from my 3rd cousin's sister's mother's stepson's baby mama that chrome rims on a Honda
Civic will net you a gain of 50 HP...

Nope on the chrome bud! The bottom ones are nicer. However If you could bump your price range up a bit your options would multiply. haha you think that many spokes is bad, try having 100 per wheel!!!!!

I was debating powerder coating whatever I get eventually. If its not a nice colour/finish.

Man, powdercoating a wheel completely changes it's appeal.

REVIVE!

okay, I actually have the money, and today my baldies nearly killed me.

I want to spend AROUND 1000 CAD for both wheels and tires together.

Suggestions?
