For about a month + now, my driver side window will not go up. before it just completely stopped, it would roll up about half way then just go up real slow. its terrible because it has rained soo much in Arkansas lately. Did the motor go out or is it the switch? I hear a very faint click noise when i press the button for the window but no movement. the passenger side still works fine, my sunroof works fine. so i believe its the motor. if it is. could i just get a motor from a junkyard or something to replace it? also i found this on ebay, do any of you guys think its a good deal?

thanks and let me know what you think : )

yeah looks like it should work but did you get a multi meter and hook it up to your switch and test it? if not try that first then take the panel off and hook up two wires to the actual motor itself then use either a jumper pack or make the wires long enough to reach the battery and then apply one to the positive and the other to the negative on the battery if the widow moves then you need not replace the motor ( the motor is a open circut motor ) so no need worrying about wich is wich. hope this helps out

could also just be your rails are getting old and seizing a bit. try some grease of some sort when you have the panels off.

it's probably your motor. Happened on my moms car. It would roll up about inch or two every hour or so and then stop. Motor was just so wore out it wouldn't roll window up. It would go down just fine though.

Thanks for all the info guys!

So it is the switch and now the passenger side one wont work, but the switch on the passenger window will. so im just glad i didnt replace the motor when nothing is wrong with it. it was just the switch..lol.. i feel kinda like an idiot now and wished i figured it out a month ago, when it all started happening. Now i just need to replace it or just rig it so that it works again.
