I just love how smooth the 92-93 dash is, it has the nice curve to it that matches the car. Not a fan of the bubbly look. But I have some weird vehicles that I think are absolutely beautiful. It's the same argument as body kit vs. stock body, to each his own. And I'll never talk down to anybody because of their preference, unless it's honda.

+1 for the 94 and up dash..cup holders (when my drinks are small enough to fit without getting in the way of my cd player) AND its already got spots to put your aftermarket guages :welder:

Jeez I can't believe people value cupholders so much, there are ways around that like the center console if you're that desperate. I think it's cool cause I can tell people "it's too sporty for cupholders 8) " lol. Never liked the gauges in the vents idea either, I wouldn't wanna cut off ventilation and risk the gauges overheating or something.

I like both dashes, but I think the newer one gives the driver more of a cockpit feel.

My centre console is filled with fuses and mazda badges because my friend got a bit over-zealous at a junkyard once.

And I prefer the bubbly look, it goes with the rest of the car better. The exterior is smooth and pretty bubbly, so why shouldn't the dash be? And it does make it look newer because of how everything flows together, the gaps are much less noticeable.

Although the vents moving around during bumps really is annoying, I'll figure something out to keep them in place eventually.

If you push on the vents after you get them in the direction you want, they stay in place.

I have cup holders :P

I've always wanted to try to mount the 94+ cupholders in a 92 dash. I don't see it not possible if you're willing to sacrifice the rear fog switch spaceholder and cigarette lighter.

It's hard, both have their pros and cons for looks and modability...When I was looking for another mx-3, withthe 94 dash, I was going to pull out the cupholders and use the slot for my CarPC's CD/DVD drive.

Definately 92 dash. As far as cupholders go, I have one in the center console I swapped in from the J-spec donor car I had. Not that I use it much anyway. I tend not to worry about drinking while I'm traveling at speeds of 120+mph.

94 version for me! it was in my first mx-3 (I miss it alot) and I think it looks much more stylish and unique... the downside is there is not much cool euro OEM support but oh well  I guess only I would be worried about that  :freak:

I much prefer my 93's dash to my old 94 and 95 dashes.

I think the bubble dash is a cheesy affectation. The old style dash is clean and the lines flow into the door panels perfectly. And I love my Euro vents.
