MX-3 notchy shifting
MX-3 notchy shifting
I just picked up a 92 GS. Today a new clutch is going in. The old clutch is getting near the end of its life. Will a fresh clutch help it shift better? The trans fluid was just changed and it did not really help the hard shifting. Is it normal for the shifter to move up and down when accelerating? The car has 150,000Km on it.

Re: MX-3 notchy shifting
HI, Cid. Congratulations, and welcome to the forum.
It sounds like your shifter linkage bushings are wearing out. You should replace them while you're in the area.
This topic should be in the "Transmissions" forum.
Also, most of the further questions you may have are probably answered in past forums with alot of insight, so if you use the "search" function in the red banner under the MX-3 at the top of the page, you'll probably find good answers quickly.
