My 1992 mazda precidia judders when it's in first gear unless you get the revs past 3000rpms. First I thought it was the clutch but after getting it looked at they found there was nothing wrong with the clutch. Just the other day it completley died on me. The car has no power what so ever. I was told it may be an electrical problem. Is this expensive to fix, is it worth salvaging?

have you done a stage 0 tune up?

Try the following:

- New plugs (gapped properly)
- New plug wires
- New cap/rotor
- New fuel filter
- Clean the throttle body
- Seafoam the little bastard
- New PCV valve
- Flush the engine with an engine cleaner then add new oil and filter and some engine restore
- replace vaccume lines
- check your ground connections
- check battery and terminal connections
- replace air filter
- replace water temp sensor
- run some fuel injector cleaner through it with 93 octane

Give that a try.

Could be as simple as a vaccuum leak. Spray some carb cleaner around the intake and see if your idle goes up, then you'll know.

2 of my Friends had the same problem

Check your spark plug wires for cracks/missing rubber.
