Which engine

Post by Pocrobs »

I've tried searching and have had no luck. Anyone on here running a F or Z series motor? While the F2T would make a nice torque monster, I mean something more like the FS-DET out of a Mazdaspeed Protege or a RF diesel. How cool would a Diesel MX3 be.
Tried NOS, Tried turbo, tried 1.8 w/ NOS, NOW V6

It has been gone over, but you're still the pioneer. Google "Mazota" or youtube.

Actually the FS-DET out of an MSP is actually a weak motor from the factory. You'd be better off starting with something better. The F2T and FE3T are awesome motors, but only 1 person has done that swap. I actually looked into getting an RF 626 but those motors seem to be hit and miss, and the supercharged version is highly discouraged because of the carbon that builds up in it, with nothing spectacular for the milleage, but the benefit is that you can run biodiesel.
