It's not a KLDE, the code is actually KJ-ZEM if I remember correctly. It is similar, and if it all fit under the hood you could theoretically swap it if you also swapped all the engine electronics. I've never heard of this being done though.

It's a 90 deg V6, meaning its too wide compared to our 60 deg v6s. Think the trannys different, but could be matched. All in all cheaper/easier to turbo a DE/ZE/K8 all of which would give more power.

Ya, there's plenty of information and discussion on a KJ swap, but that motor is designed for efficiency, not performance. It's barely feasible and alot of work for just 10hp.

the trannies I think are the same as the kl automatics. It will bolt up to a 5speed pretty easily. The are not a 90deg engine it is a 60deg engine

aight....time to explain

Everyone knows these engines are belt drivin and then inside the heads under the valve covers there are 2 gears that match both cams together. Ok so the cam sprockets themselves are just positioned differently. Look at a KL the front head the sprocket moves the exhaust cam. On the rear head it runs on intake cam. But on the KJ engine the cam sprockets move exhaust cams on both heads, Which make it all look bigger and the black plastic timing cover has to go farther back. remember if your going to measure the angle the engine is on. You would measure from the centre. Which would be right in the centre of the head between the cams. The KJ engine just looks bigger because the cam sprocket is father back thats all.

Look closely at these pics

Heres a KL. with some twin turbo's but whatever look at the cam gear on the rear head it is running of the intake cam

Heres Millenia S KJ engine.

the JE-ZE found in the 929 is a 90 degree V6 ( double overhead cam )
unlike the single cam found in most MPV's

for a lot of reasons ( one pure size ) these motors are confused with KJ-ZE's
