Pioneer TS-A6980 speaker question?

So I got for free off a family friend a set of never used Pioneer TS-A6980 speakers.
Specs:
Max power: 200W
Nominal Power: 50W
Woofer: 163mm by 237mm
Midrange: 0 (with a slash in it)66mm
Tweeter: 0 (with a slash)16mm Dome
Super Tweeter: 0 (with a slash)12mm dome-type
Impedance: 4 Ohms
Sensetivity: 93db/W (1m)
Frequency Response: 28-30,000Hz
I have not tried them out but they look brand new (even though they are made in the 90's).
My ? is are they worth hooking up? I know that they are 16" x 9" and won't fit without modification into our MX's, but right now I am running horrible speakers... like.. my passenger side speaker only works when it feels like it >_>. And I've tried repairing it a few times.. it's just a terrible speaker (that I got for free with my head unit so that's why). But yeah.. I don't want to go back to stock speakers, so am just wondering.. if this is worth it, or I should just wait and get a set of speakers that will fit...
If I used these, btw, they would be modified to fit in my back seats, on the side trim.
