92 GS ignition timing setting

Post by mx3_aruba »

hi all,
i'm wondering, how do you set the ignition timing on a '92 GS?.
i tried putting a timing light on it, found the mark on the crank pulley, turned the desti but mark stayed at it's place?
do you need to unplug a "bypass" or do something else to change the ignition timing?...
i tried finding it on these forums but couldn't find anything exact to what i was searching for...

tnx

If you click on the donation sign at the top of the window you will be taken to the main MX-3.com page. On the left navigation column you will see a link called "Online Manuals". In the 95' Maintenance Manual (which is exactly the same as the 92' but easier to read) in the section called "K8 Engine" you will find the procedure to correctly adjust your timing.
