LOL, um if theres no plug you have no fluid...thats bad. Don't drive the car until you get one...but how did you find this out? There is no way the car would have been driveable...unless you just misplaced it by accident.

Your best bet is to try Napa or Mazda. Napa will be cheaper but I dont know if they can order it for you. Seriously though, if you're missing the drain plug, don't drive it! I'm assuming you just bought this, or you just lost the plug - if you just bought it, make sure it drives because I can't stress to you enough that you really should not be driving it w/o fluid in there.

I looked up the trans in the chilton's manual for Mazda Mx3, the only information that they provide for a 92 1.6L is that it is a G5M-R trans I dont know if this type is even equipped with a fill plug.

I'm getting the feeling he's trying to physically find the drain plug, not buy the part. Check the workshop manuals on the main page.

If I remember correctly, the sohc drain plug is behind the block next to the firewall. The speedo cable is connected to it. Theres one bolt that holds it on. On the V6, it's on the front side of the tranny. Seeable from under the car. Hope this helps.

AS I can see the plug must have some disguise to it,because when I check to see it...
I don't see anything.
There has got to be a picture that can provide a seen to help find it.

use this picture to see where it is located when looking in the engine bay - it's labeled number 4 near the back of the tranny close to where the tranny meets the motor...

it's not a normal bolt it's the speedo driven gear... use this link to see a pic of what you should be looking for

After i looked at the manual it does not seem like there are to many other ways to see how the operation is performed, Now it is just the decision of if I should replace the whole part when changing the gear oil or reuse the same hardware.

Just curious if this is a picture of the transmission of the 4cyl. or the 6cyl.? Are the trans. the same for this year?
