Ok in 1st gear I can hit 5 psi easy, second too, third gear its at 4 psi and 5th gear remains at 4... basically it starts at 5 pi and goes down to 4.


Already inspected intercooler, all the pipes.. vacuum lines... everything and I cant understand.

could it be the turbo is going bad?


bad boost controller? bad wastegate?

Really a hard problem to troubleshoot over a form,,,, Like u did first thing perform a vaccuum test,,

Chances of it being a mechanical part very slim,,, No way is it the turbo thats sorta funny

Some internal wastegates have problems with "bleeding boost pressure" but i imagine your external...

1 psi is very small if the car is perfoming like usual i wouldnt worry.... Could you tell if you were not looking at a guage ?

Thanks for the input, i replaced the intercooler (it was 10 dllrs at a junk yard from a eagle talon turbo) and I replaced the boost gauge line and its all good now..


My clutch slips still at 5 psi lol and at 4 it doesnt. odd.. oh well im boostin again

We burnt up an ACT Stage 1 clutch in no time on 5 pounds.
