B6 SOHC Crank question

I bought a miata with a B6 in it, and it happens to have the short nose crank problem, so I was wondering is the crank on the b6 SOHC the same as the crank on the miatas
I also have that issue... but I plan to live with it.
I believe that the miata did use a b6, the same one we have... or I might be entirely wrong.
Club Protege might have more info for ya, if nothing shows up here.
