power steering

i noticed the other day, that i have a knocking noise so had a looksy to day and found that on the passenger-side on the steering rack that the joint with the flexy boot over it has the knocking coming from it are their parts that can be replaced in their?

are you sure its not the cv axle? If there is in fact some sort of noise from the rack itself you'd have to replace the whole thing unless its the inner tie rod in which case you can replace that by itself. I hope that run-on sentence helped, lol.

Yes buy a new rh axle/axel (damn medication). NAPA has them cheap

think its the rod end as it does have a lot of play in it and the rack might want a slight adjustment to move whole thing accross, but can get both rod ends fro under 20 pound
