Slow and steady wins the race right

Post by TMP39 »

well so im on my second year of owning my mx3 and well heres some pics from the year so far of trying to get all the work done.

Image
this is when i first got it, sat in the drive way for about a month amd put 2 10" legacy's and vibreant amp in and my pioneer deck. not much i can do with a g1.

came with a set of 14" csa 5star rims. but that winter i cracked one on a curb sliding on ice. than later on i put a dual tip muffler fart can on and it sounded really good suprisingly since i expected a rice type sound but it had a nice deep tone to it. i also hit a teachers car at school and damaged the driverside fender and door. replaced a brake cylinder and ebrake cable, and swapped over to a set of steel rims with some nice wide tires. also added some fog lights with the help of jeremyp one day aswell as teh gs wing. got the speaker grills painted red and a red ractive boot i put in my sister bought me

so first summer drivin the car, put the rims back on with the wide tires from the steel rims i had, fixed the fender and the gigantic rust spot on the hatch, got thw passenger fender, hood and front bumper off a parts car. but only put the diverside fender on so far. painted the valve cover, installed ractive tornado filter, strut bar and bought a set of gs doors and front lip off my buddy that had a black mx3.

so finally new stereo just as the summer ends, 2 12"s that sound amazing. repainted the valve cover again. stole a shifter knob out of a legend or some type of acura cause me and my buddy wer somewher and i saw the knob and just said i have to have that so...yea and put in a 10 disc cd changer. than the day before school, i replaced my clutch with just an oem exedy clutch.

as for later things to do, i have just gotten a short shifter that says taks off 45% of the throw and a ractive knob that is black and red :P and my stepdad is just itchin to get started on teh body work. im tryin really hard to try and find either anotehr b6 or go with the bp swap which i was originally trying to do and my buddy that works in a macjine shop is gonna help me rip apart the motor i get and clean, machine and do everything possible to it. next week i may be buying a set of motegi 6 spoke rims....dependin on how they look on the car, never seen them on an mc4 so hopefully they look good. but i also want to redo my entire ehaust to a 2.25" with a vortex muffler. hopefully by mid summer i will have most of this done.

Wow, that red looks amazing. Nicely done.
Took the bp+t out of the mx and swapped it into a 95 escort wagon. ;)

and it sounds pretty good with 2.5" exhaust with just a cherry bomb. i put it where the resonator would be in the mid pipe. rumbles pretty good.

haha if i put a body kit on i would only be able to drive up and down my street cause theres os much construction going on right now. i swear thats all we have in london is two seasons winter and construction. they fix it once and than do it again next year.
