If you search on the protege forums there's been some research into converting to 5 lug. A couple people have done it, but there's no preferred or common way to do it. Some of them use gtx hubs, others mentioned trying 5 lug protege hubs or 1st gen probe hubs. There's also another non US market car that was swappable as well. You have to go look though, there's currently no standard way of swapping it.
