[WTB] Polk Momo Speakers

Post by Ryan »

Hey guys, this is a long shot, but I'm looking for 2 sets of 6.5 and one set of 5.25. The two way, coaxial ones. As long as they're not shot, or sounding any worse than from factory.

Bumpity. I''m flexible on modle/brand. If you can convince me, I'm interested. I put indestructability slightly above sound quality.

Just get a set of diamond hex 6.5s and call it a day. I had momos and hexs are hands-down better sounding. I have them the doors w the tweeters near the floor and a kicker 15 in the trunk with pheonix gold amps on both. If you read up you'll find a lot of people run high end components without rear speakers because most stuff is recorded to be played back that way. The rear speakers just pull the soundstage further back. It just makes for extra sound that's unnecessary too. The components and sub produce the full sound spectrum.
93 rs: tokico struts & eibach springs, 15' rota gt3s, cf hood & gas lid, 2.5' exhaust w high-flow cat, tranny cooler, reupholstered seats, custom black interior, chrome miata handles, momo wheel & ebrake, spyder black projector lights w hid, altezzas, clear corners/sides, eclipse 8454 hu, diamond hex components w/ 3-way add-on & an re se 15' powered by 300/2v2 & 500/1 jl slash amps, corksport mazdaspeed bumper, euro mini sideskirts, fresh paint

I'm thinking about that. Just the fronts. The thing is, I'm buying the 5.25's for myself, and the 6.5's for my GF's sedan. I'm just not sure how only two would sound in a sedan, compared to our hatches, where no one sits in the back.

Okay, diamond audio = more expensive than polk.
She has the stock head unit. Adjustable crossovers aren't necessary. Some nice, 2 or 3 way coax's should do it fine. Not looking for competition sound, just respectable DD.
