HID conversion headlights

Post by tom_finn »

on ebay there are a ton of HID conversion headlight systems, i found one that has one bulb and has a bright and low beam setting, in which a solenoid just tilts the bulb in a different angle to put out more light. do you think that this will be a lot better than the stock lighting now? it cost $36 plus $60 shipping. would it be worth it?

Its definitely worth it especially if you get 4300k or 6000k color temperature. You may want to aim the headlight down a bit since our housing was not designed for HIDs and put out a lot of glare....

is the 4500-6000 range mean blue? I like those.

People occassionally flash me when I have my dims on, which is rediculous, so I can't imagine HIDs.... (yes they are angled right)

sounds like a good deal if that kit comes with the ballasts and everything... I'm looking at a kit right now for $150...

4300-6k purplish white, 8k-10k blue, above 10k turns really pinkish purple...

I've had 6k and I think it's perfect
