i recommend not buying a pacesetter catback, the quality is pure crap AND for 300 dollars you should be able to get the entire Exhaust system done with headers...

use the mx6/probe headers:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MX6-Prob ... ccessories" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

then pick out your muffler, get you a hiflow Cat, and tell the exhaust shop you want 2.5" exhaust ran (mandrel bent not crushed). Reason I say 2.5" Well eventually you'll learn about the klze engine, you will want to swap as everyone does, and well you might as well build your exhaust for that engine, as it will still work on your 1.8 now, its a waist of money to invest in a smaller pipe size just to upgrade later. Might as well start planning for that swap as well because well, no matter what you do to the k8 your not going to get any more power out of it NA.

Not to argue but hasn't it been shown that 2.25" exhaust is the prefered size not only for the k8 but also the KLZE. There's quite a few posts here on that subject. And yes I bought chrome Ebay headers too, $156.00 delivered. :)

its 2.5" for the klze, dyno proven and years of info behind it. all the posts i can find say 2.5"

the rule in general is 1" for every liter granted this doesn't always hold water in some cases, because eventually you'll have exhaust that is too massive.

*Edit yea i just verfied with Custommx3, Monty, Hppwdn and plus i cross referenced it with all the v6s from moca, 2.5" is the best size.

2.5" seemed to make my old car lose bottom end, but top end was good

i wouldn't say thats a bad thing, the klze already has plenty of power in the lower end, in fact i would say in most cases its to much power, since wheel hop and spin is still a slight problem even with those who have awesome suspensions. So I wouldn't say loosing some power @ bottom and gaining it with more at top is a bad thing.
