So I am wondering if anyone understands turning rates at all?
So on wiki it says the GS has a turning rate of 0.89 g (8.7 m/s²) which if true I believe based on stock?

I was just watching a video comparing the new 2008 Evo X and Subaru STI's saying they respectively rate at 0.99g and 0.90g.

So i'd say stock has some pretty effin great turning rates if that is true. So just generally wondering if anyone can confirm this turning rate of the GS. Also how much would my rate go up given some nice Z rated tires, eibach springs, better struts and front and rear strut bars?

I'd say the mx3 can out handle alot of much more expensive cars, and I have read the .89g in many places. I know its not anywhere close to an evo or sti because we don't have fully adjustable electronic suspensions or anything, but if you were to upgrade all your bushings, put decent strut/springs on, beef up your sway bars, and add some nice tires and strut tower bars, I'd say you'd have a nice cornering machine.

Ask fowljesse or nd4spdse or someone else who has done alot of suspension modifications on their car to test the skidpad of their mx3's and cornering, etc.

You need an accelerometer to test G-force. There might be a way to do it with an iPhone.

Yup, with an IPhone you can download a program for like $10 and it uses the accelerometer within to measure that stuff...its not 100% but its pretty good

Our turn radius is great for FWD. I get annoyed driving other FWD cars, because of their radius.
I don't know how they calculate turning rates, but as mentioned, with polyeurethane bushings, it's like having active all wheel steering (Ours is passive AWS), and the more you upgrade everything else, the less passive it feels! I wish everyone could test drive mine, to see what Wytbishop's bushing set can do for them.

I'd like to see how some of our cars handle now that we have modified them... maybe we are closer to the evo's specs
