My alignment is stuck in the rear

Post by SuperK »

Firestone couldn't get the rear adjusters loose to adjust the alignment.

This kinda sucks, because while it IS within specs, it's not right and it's bugging me.

it's never been touched since 95. Any ideas on what I could do to break it loose? PBlaster hasn't worked for me :(

Mine are like that off the parts car. Absolutely no way to get them loose. I'm hoping that the ones off the daily driver are better or I'm buying new.

Rusted solid? Damn. Try heating with a torch, maybe? How long have you sprayed them with PB? Try some more, and if not, I'd replace, so they can be adjusted if needs be.

I have had this problem with every part of my suspension. It's not even really rusted, they're just locked tight.

It's pretty rough and tough. bleh. :(

I might try torching it. If not, best to purchase a new one.

Same problem here.
Did you car roll or used to roll on salted roads, too?
I was thinking replace mine with parts from JY, but I would'nt know how to transport the owl assembly in the car.

my car's been a southern car. We don't use salt.
It's possible it was originally a florida car.
